BC: Although, I always felt a little like a “fish out of water” and had a few unquestionably psychic experiences, one particular occurrence stands out. This moment changed my life forever. When my daughter was 4 months old, she became seriously ill. After taking her to diagnostic clinics in the area and receiving no solution, I took her to the Mayo Clinic and engaged the Head of Pediatrics as her physician. After two weeks of intensive testing they concluded, she had: acute anemia, a heart murmur, a kidney reflux, and rheumatoid arthritis…and they continued, “there’s nothing we can do.” ! Since my daughter’s temperature was over 105 degrees, plus the fact that I considered the Mayo Clinic the “end-all “ facility for help…I was more than a little concerned. I closed my eyes and prayed. I heard, “God’s intelligence is in every cell of your daughter’s being.” I had a realization: This was all MAN could do; but not all that GOD could do. I was on a Spiritual journey. I came home knowing something big was about to happen!
My explanation? God wouldn’t say, “Here’s a box of chocolate. You can look but, you can’t have any.” No, I believe that God would say, “Here’s a box of chocolate…dig in with both hands!!” Miracles are available to us on this planet NOW and we can have them! We each can do healings and witness things that the mind cannot understand. The mind doesn’t have to understand. That’s the point. We just have to be willing. I think that God let me see that miracle because I’m willing to talk about it. It saved my life and my daughter’s. I want to let people know what’s out there…I want to give people options they may not know about. I want to help save others. I want to give back.
LN: When did you first realize that you were being called to serve spirit as a teacher and channeler? BC: Like most people, I always wanted to contribute, to make a difference. Like most people, there was a time when I didn’t know what that expression would look like. After significant moments in our lives, such as the one above, we all tend to review our lives, and more consciously design a plan for ourselves. My life began to take definition then, as I became very interested in natural or energetic healing, and began studies here and abroad. After I specifically chose a direction, experiences and teachers serendipitously came into my life! One trip in Brazil (where once again, I got to watch psychic surgeries) I was selected, out of a group of hundreds, by the surgeon to chair side assist him. When asked ‘why did you chose Betsy’ he said simply, “She has good Light.” Another time, in a crowd of a thousand, Swami Chidvilasananda chose me to sit with her at her feet during a Spiritual meeting…later inviting me for a private audience and gifting me with a marble jewelry box. This became a marked turning point of deeper surrender to Spirit and wherever it wanted to take me. On my travels to South America, I met and worked side by side with the exceptionally kind and truly phenomenal healer Mauricio Panisset, who, as Shirley Maclaine and Wayne Dyer call him in their respective books, “the Man with the Hands of Light.” I invited Maricio to the U.S. where we did seminars together and remained friends until his death. I have studied or worked with Anthony Robbins, Carolyn Myss, Wayne Dyer and Og Mandino. Each time I had the courage to follow my dream of creating miracle healings for people, a door would open, and another incredible teacher would come into my life. Then in 1992, the true defining moment happened when my personal teacher, friend and spiritual guide, Orion, physically spoke to me for the first time as I was administering a Reiki healing treatment. I remember every word. Of course, I would. Who expects to hear sound within their heads when no one visibly is seen speaking! I think all my travels and studies lead to this moment, prepared me for this…so I could accept it as reality. More importantly, so I would ACT upon what I was told to do. Orion said that he and I were to work together, and that I would begin teaching Channeling. He had come to me because we shared the same purpose - healing. And, because I was “willing”. He wants people to know two things: 1.) We are not alone; there are Beings of Light who love us and are here to help us. 2.) That anyone who wants can channel or talk to these Beings of Light. He will connect you! It was at that moment I was actually informed that I was to be a channel. LN: There are more doubters about the abilities of “psychics” and “channelers” than there are believers, often people with a built-in aversion to anything that remotely appears “other worldly.” What would you say to these disbelievers and scoffers? BC: First of all, I UNDERSTAND! It took me a long time and a lot of personal trials before I could accept this. Our early conditioning goes deep. Plus, the last thing our ego-personality wants is to look foolish! Second: I would say to you what was said to me, “What do you have to lose?” …. Could your answer to this question be what mine was, ‘only my point of view‘. Third: Be willing to try something different . Sometimes, curiosity or hope is the heart’s way to lead you forward. If you don’t investigate something for yourself, you’ll have to settle for someone else’s opinion. That’s sitting on the sidelines. Get off the bench and see for yourself! Fourth: Read your Bible. (Surprised?) Read I Corinthians. The reading includes: “And now, dear brothers and sisters, I will write about the special abilities the Holy Spirit gives to EACH OF US, for I must correct your misunderstandings about them.” Another, I Corinthians14:1 “Let Love be your highest goal, but also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives, especially the gift of prophecy.” Also, Acts 2:17-18...”your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young will see visions….” . My personal favorite is John 14:12, where Jesus says, “These gifts I give unto you and greater works shall you do.” Fifth: A good channel or psychic is not going to try to convince you to change yourself or your beliefs. They will show you options. They will offer guidance. Your freewill stays intact. LN: Would you shed some light on how one can learn or develop their psychic abilities? BC: YES! This is my specialty. I could write a book on this…in fact, I am! When you take a seminar with me, my workbook is included which gives exercises and information that helps one to stay connected to spiritual guidance and newly developed psychic gifts. Briefly, this is what is most important:
“Increased activity in one chakra seems to trigger increased activity in another chakra.” Dr. Valerie Hunt, UCLA, researcher on the human energy field. Simply put, my gift includes increasing the activity in your Crown chakra. That increased activity stimulates the “third-eye” or 6th sense, so that clairvoyance, the gift of seeing can begin. Likewise, when the 5th chakra is stimulated, clairaudience, the giving of hearing can begin.
BC: One does choose their own special gifts, although the choice may not be a conscious one. Most people who are drawn to this work have done similar work in other lifetimes. The soul returns to perfect or develop skills that are both interesting to the personality, and the greatest growth for the Soul. The answer to this question would be to follow what really interests you and most likely you will discover your talents. People are usually attracted to what they are naturally good at doing. There are many different forms of “psychic” gifts, as you have mentioned. My unique gift is one that I hadn’t heard of before Orion came to me. That is, to hold and conduct the energy transmission from Orion to students, so they can spiritually connect to their personal guides and angels. LN: There must be many examples of how these things have been manifested for your students. Would you tell us about someone’s transformation from curious cynic to true believer through a personal experience as a student or participant in a group session? BC: Yes! Good question! The beauty of this work is not only enlightening others about a skill they were seeking, but witnessing the incredible and miraculous changes in their lives! Briefly, here are three examples.
LN: You have said that Christ told you that NOW is the time for miracles. How does Christ directly communicate with you? And, what is His message for these troubled times? BC: Jesus speaks to all of us. The way He speaks to me is impressing my thoughts with His thoughts. Through years of experience I can now differentiate which thoughts are His and which are mine. His message was urgent. We will start doing miracles of healing because the Earth needs to see and have faith now. Jesus will respond to every request that is asked “in His Name”. He said that, “seeing is believing“…that’s why we need miracles. Most importantly, He said to give thanksgiving to God to allow the miracles to continue. LN: If someone does not believe in Christ as the Savior, and is not religious, can they still do spiritual healing work? BC: Yes! Look at Gandhi. Or, Deepak Chopra, Gangaji, Victor Frankl, Swami Muktananda, …so many magnificent spiritual leaders sent to the world to reach everyone of every faith or of no faith….the message is the same: Love. Love is the answer, no matter what religious choices we make. Love has no form. The belief in form is what gets us in trouble. We fight over which form is better and then separate. What Spirit is about is union and peace. “God has no religion,” Gandhi. LN: You talk about ORION, one of your guides, as lifting energy fields in order that students can more readily open to their inner gifts. (How did ORION originally make himself known to you?) (And, )what occurs in this “lifting energy” process? BC: Everything is energy. The only thing that separates us from our angels and spirit guides is the rate of vibration of that energy…or frequency. When our vibration is high, we are happier and healthier people. Orion has a VERY HIGH VIBRATION. A universal law is that “the highest vibration wins”! Orion comes into your energy field through your invitation (your intention to channel) and offers his vibration. As you accept this increase in vibration, you “lift” to higher realms where your spirit guides are. (We are all “a Little lower than the angels”) There the veil between worlds becomes thin and you begin to see and hear in the higher realms. It feels very good! You relax, perhaps feel light-headed. You become happy. LN: If someone does not want to become a practitioner or teacher but would like to become more spiritually evolved to more fully live their lives, what would you recommend they start with? BC: Knowing the difference is tough at first! It requires patience and practice on the part of the student to recognize the subtle energy shifts and the difference between the ego-mind (which is always trying to capture your attention) and the spiritual heart (which is more subtle). There IS a difference. A good deal of my class speaks directly to this issue. For simplicity, be willing to begin… and, be willing to continue. When you are channeling, the question will answer itself. You see, it’s the “ego” that is even asking this question. It’s the mind trying to stop you. LN: Obviously, our world is in serious trouble. What can the ordinary citizen who hopes for positive change and peaceful resolutions do to help create this? BC: Learn to Channel When you CHANNEL, you raise your energy level. “Anytime you are in high energy, you are helping to raise the consciousness of this world!” says Wayne Dyer. A higher consciousness means more health, love, abundance and happiness for everyone….that certainly contributes to positive change and peaceful resolutions! Basically “be the change you wish to see in the world“. Take time to imagine a perfect world. Worry less, love more. Pray, meditate, forgive, laugh, be generous. LN: Thank you so much for your time. Is there something you wish to add that will be of benefit to our readers? BC: So often in life it is our desire to be loved, and we begin to give away pieces of ourselves “in trade” for love, until there is nothing left. Remember, you are important to God; and, if you are important to Him, YOU’RE IMPORTANT. Love yourself. If you forget this, close your eyes - take a nice slow, deep breathe - and ask for help. Perhaps you will discover Spirit is RIGHT THERE…waiting to talk to you! |
